Two LG Induction Ranges Compared by Bill & Rod’s Appliance
Here at Bill & Rod’s Appliance we have grown to really like the LG product. There have been great strides in the quality of appliances and support they have provided to independent appliance dealers. It is no surprise that they have gained market share and continue to innovate with their products. One of the areas that they are growing is in their induction ranges.
Two Induction Range Offerings
Currently there are two models, not including color options, to choose from. Those models are the LSE4616ST and the LSE4617ST. From the outside they look nearly identical. In this post we will compare and contrast the two for us to see where they overlap and where they differ.
How They Are the Same
- Oven Capacity: Both boast the largest capacity in their classes at 6.3 Cu Ft capacity

- 10 Minute Speed Clean: EasyClean® is a convenient way to clean your oven quickly with a combination of a special enamel coating and spraying the interior with water prior to running the cycle.
- No Preheat: Save 20 minutes of cooking time by skipping the preheat cycle by using the InfraredHeating™ system.
How They Are Different
- Bottom Drawer: The bottom drawer on the LSE4617ST is a warming drawer and on the LSE4616ST it is jut a standard storage drawer… that’s it.
Conclusion
With either of these ranges from LG you will be happy you made the purchase. Depending on your cooking style and personal needs would determine if you would need a warming drawer or just have a storage drawer.

Personally, if I were to be the merchandising director, I would just remove one of the two. Too many options breed confusion, too much overlap can cause buyer’s remorse. Imagine taking delivery of a unit only to find the one cycle difference is the one thing you wanted. That is frustrating.
