How to Load a Speed Queen Washer
Did you know that there is a right and a wrong way to load a Speed Queen Washer? To most it would see pretty strain forward, but the truth is that many of us have done it wrong. When loaded improperly the washer will not deliver the best cleaning it can. Below are steps that you can take to ensure that proper cleaning will take place. These steps can really be applied to any washer on the market, but these are guidelines that Speed Queen has laid out.
- The laundry detergent is ALWAYS added first. Take the recommended amount of detergent and put it on the bottom of the washer. The suds will work their way up and through the clothing.
- Load larger and heavier items first so they are at the bottom of the washtub. This is determined by the amount of space they take up instead of their weight. (Example: blankets on bottom, then sheets, and then pillowcase on top.) Also, ensure that all pockets are empty, fasten hooks, zip up zippers and unroll any cuffs to ensure there is not anything that can snag or get stuck in the pump. Do not wash pillows in your Speed Queen Washer.
- Try to make sure that you put large and small items in the load to get the best washing. Just washing a single item will throw the washer off balance and will not reach max spin speed. On the TR7003WN model there will be a blinking light on the display if this were to happen.
- Drop items loosely into the washtub for best results. Do not over pack or wrap items around the agitator. Over-loading will result in poor cleaning, excessive wrinkling and tears. When washing bulky items do not fill as much as you would normally with other loads.
