Cycles and Options for the Cove Dishwasher
When it comes to dishwashers, we see so many cycles that are meant to clean certain types of dishes and the Cove dishwasher is no exception. This ultra-premium dishwasher 12 cycles that can be customized to fit even you specific washing needs. When you work with Bill & Rod’s Appliance, Inc. we want you to fully know the appliance that you have purchased, let’s walk through this dishwasher together.
Getting Started:
To start the washing process on the Cove dishwasher you first touch the desired cycle or Cycles+ till you see the cycle you are looking for on the display to the left of the control panel. Then touch Options to set these to customize your wash. Most cycles it is recommended that only 2 tablespoons of detergent are used. When these are set proceed to touching Start and close the door. The dishwasher will begin washing within 4 seconds.
Note: The cycle can be interrupted at any time by opening the door and can be restarted by touching Start again and closing the door.
Cycles:
Auto cycle can be used for all soil levels. On the Cove dishwasher it automatically adjusts for optimal wash time, water temperature, and water consumption. Internal sensors can make this determination during the initial rinse. Wash time will vary from 2 hours and 7 minutes to 3 hours 55 minutes. Options that can be used on this cycle for customization are Delay Start, High Temp Wash, Sani Rinse, Extended Dry, Extra Dry, and Top Racks Only.
Normal cycle is for typical soil from daily use without a prewash or rinse. This will use average wash time of about 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete. Temperature and water consumption will be typically where you have your hot water tank set at. Options that can be used on this cycle for customization are Delay Start, High Temp Wash, Sani Rinse, Extended Dry, Extra Dry, and Top Racks Only.
Heavy cycle is for heavily soiled dishes that may have been used for serving mixed with other dishes from throughout the day. With the Cove dishwasher you will experience a longer wash time, increased water temperature and water consumption for this cycle. Expected wash time is 3 hours and 25 minutes Options that can be used on this cycle for customization are Delay Start, High Temp Wash, Sani Rinse, Extended Dry, and Extra Dry. Top Racks Only is not available for this cycle.
Quick cycle is designed for lightly soiled or prewashed dishes. There is a reduced overall wash time of 58 minutes. For this cycle you will also reduce the amount of soap that is used to a ½ tablespoon. A premade pod will be too much soap and will hinder the cleaning process.
Cycles+:
Pots & Pans is a modified heavy cycle for specifically washing these items in your Cove dishwasher. There is an increased wash time of 3 hours and 55 minutes. Options that can be used on this cycle for customization are Delay Start, High Temp Wash, Sani Rinse, Extended Dry, and Extra Dry. Top Racks Only is not available for this cycle.
Soak & Scrub is for the heaviest baked on caked on soil for your dishes. The wash time is significantly increased to ensure cleaning. It clocks in at 5 hours and 33 minutes. Options that can be used on this cycle for customization are Delay Start, High Temp Wash, Sani Rinse, Extended Dry, and Extra Dry. Top Racks only is not available for this cycle.
Light cycle again is very similar to the Quick cycle in that you would use it for pre rinsed dishes. The cycle time is 1 hour 53 minutes. Options that can be used on this cycle for customization are Delay Start, High Temp Wash, Sani Rinse, Extended Dry, Extra Dry, and Top Racks Only.
China/Crystal is a very light cycle, and it is asked that soap is decreased to ½ tablespoon to reduce spotting and cloudiness on glassware and crystal. Run time is 1 hour and 58 minutes. Options available are Delay Start, Extended Dry and Top Racks Only.
Rinse/Hold is a prewash cycle that is used without soap. Once rinse is complete it is expected another wash cycle will be selected to complete cleaning.
Plastics cycle is for heavily to lightly soiled dishes. It has an increased final rinse temperature and increased drying fan time to enhance plastic drying performance. It is recommended that only 1 tablespoon of soap to be used. Cycle time is 2 hours and 32 minutes. Options that can be used on this cycle for customization are Delay Start, High Temp Wash, Sani Rinse, Extended Dry, and Extra Dry. Top Rack only is not available for this cycle.
Energy cycle should be used on regular soil level dishes and at Bill & Rod’s Appliance we would say it may be more geared for light soil. There is a decrease in water temperature and an increased wash time to reduce energy usage. Wash time is 2 hours and 8 minutes. Options that can be used is Delay Start and Extended Dry.
Extra Quiet cycle should be used on lightly soiled dishes. The reduced speed of the pumps makes for quieter operation and lower pressure from the sprayers. Options that can be used on this cycle are the Delay Start, Extended Dry, Extra Dry, and Top Racks Only.
