Traeger Texas Spicy BBQ Sauce on Chicken
Chicken 2 Ways on the Traeger Pro 575
Chicken cooked on the Traeger Pro 575 always turns out delicious! Here at Bill & Rod’s Appliance we are always cooking on our Traeger here at the store. This week we did chicken breast two different ways. What you need for this is chicken breast, Traeger Chicken Rub, Traeger Texas Spicy Sauce BBQ Sauce, and the Traeger Show Me the Honey Sauce.
Step One:
Rub the chicken breasts with the Traeger Chicken Rub and let it rest.
Step Two:
Set your Traeger grill to the Smoke setting.
Step Three:
Once the Traeger comes to temperature, smoke the chicken for 1 hour.
Step Four:
Increase temperature to 350⁰F and cook till cooked through.
Step Five:
Traeger Show Me The Honey
In the last 15 minutes warm the sauces on the grill. In the last 5 minutes brush the sauce on the chicken. Don’t mix the sauce but keep them separate.
Step Six:
Brush the chicken with the sauce 1 more time and allow it to set while finishing on the grill for 1 minute. Once completed allow the chicken to rest while on the grill before slicing and serving.
We paired this with premade potatoes au gratin that we smoked with the chicken and allowed to cook with the chicken. As it the chicken was cooking on the Traeger the smoke infused into the potatoes adding a depth a flavor that complimented them perfectly.
